π Custom Export: Contacts, Companies & Opportunities
The Webmecanik Pipeline custom export tool allows you to extract your data with total flexibility. Unlike a standard export, you can select exactly which columns will appear in your final file (CSV or Excel).
π― Step 1: Prepare and Launch the Export
- Go to the list view of the desired object, such as the list of opportunities.
- Apply advanced filters first (such as activity status) if you only want to retrieve a specific segment of your database.
- Click the Export button located in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Choose Export all to process the entire database, or Export filter results to export only the filtered objects matching your search.
βοΈ Step 2: Customize File Fields
- Use the search bar at the top of the window to quickly find a specific field.
- In the section dedicated to the main object, check or uncheck Standard fields, Custom fields, or System fields as needed.
- Toggle the Include associated contact data switch to add columns for the contact attached to each exported row.
- Toggle the Include associated company data switch to add information for the linked company in the same way.
- Expand the submenus to select specific fields (standard, custom, address, system) for contacts and companies to include in the export.
π₯ Step 3: Generate and Receive Your File
- Check the total number of columns included in your export; a summary is displayed at the bottom-left of the window.
- Select your preferred format for the final file by clicking CSV or XLSX.
- Click the blue Generate export button to confirm your request.
- βοΈ Note: The file is generated in the background so it won't interrupt your navigation. Once it is ready, you will receive an email containing a direct download link inside.
π How to Access Custom Export
Log in to your Webmecanik Pipeline account.
Click on your profile name in the top right corner to access Settings.
In the left-hand sidebar, click on the Custom Export section.
βοΈ Configuring Your Export
On this page, select the specific data points you wish to include. Fields are organized into categories for easier navigation:
1. Standard Fields
Basic information from your records:
Identity: First Name, Last Name, Email.
Professional: Job Title, Phone Number, Description.
2. Custom Fields
Includes all the specific fields you have created for your business needs:
Contact types, URLs, choice lists, checkboxes, hourly rates, etc.
3. Address
Essential for geographic segmentation:
Street Address, Address Line 2, City, Postal Code, and Country.
4. System Fields
Automated data generated by the software, useful for reporting and auditing:
Ownership: Name and email of the contact owner.
Timestamps: Date added and Date modified.
Activity: Number of opportunities and Tags.
π‘ Pro-Tips for a Perfect Export
Select All / Deselect All: Use the quick links at the top of the list to save time if you have a large number of custom fields.
Combine Data: You can mix contact and company fields to get a comprehensive overview of your database.
File Format: Once your selection is complete, proceed to generate the download. The file will be ready for use in your favorite spreadsheet software (Excel, Google Sheets).

Data Security: Access to the export feature may be restricted based on the permissions assigned to your user role. If the option is not visible, please contact your administrator about the roles.
Export a list of contacts to a .csv or .xls file
From the user interface:
- Click the Contacts/Companies/Opportunities left menu to display the contacts/companies list.
- On top right, you can click on the Export button.

An email is sent to the email address linked to the user.

Click on the CTA in the email to download your report.
