At trade shows, it is essential to set up forms to effectively collect information from your prospects. π With Webmecanik Automation, you can create forms perfectly suited to this specific use case.
How is a trade show form different? π‘
Let's imagine that you are an exhibitor and have an interactive kiosk with a Webmecanik Automation form. Everyone who submits it will do so from:
- The same physical device (tablet, computer, etc.)
- The same IP address
- The same browsing session (same cookie)
β οΈ The risk: With the standard configuration, new contacts will not be created with each submission. Since the session is identical, the system will consider it to be the same person and simply update the previous contact. Your data will therefore be overwritten throughout the day!
The solution: "Kiosk Mode" π‘οΈ
To prevent this behavior, Webmecanik Automation includes a feature dedicated to forms: Kiosk Mode. This allows you to selectively disable session tracking (cookie tracking). As a result, contacts will no longer be merged with one another, but will instead be created independently with each new submission.
How do you configure Kiosk Mode? βοΈ
- Log in to your Webmecanik Automation instance.
- Go to the editing section for your form.
- In the settings on the right side of your screen, scroll down until you find the Kiosk Mode option.
- By default, this mode is disabled and displays "Collect visitor data."
- Simply click the toggle to enable it. It will turn green and display the message "Protect visitor data":
β
That's it! Your form is now ready to use at your booth. You can collect your prospects' data with complete peace of mind.
