With Webmecanik Automation, you can manage your database as you want. Different ways are available to create contacts (import, API, forms etc.). In this article, we will see how to create contacts manually from the interface.
- Start by connecting to your Webmecanik Automation instance and go on the "Contacts" section.
- Then click on "New".
- You will land on the creation of a contact.
It is up to you to fill whatever you need to. For more information about contact fields, please consult this article.
- Once you completed filling fields you needed, click on "Save and close".
Some contact fields can be mandatory (it depends on what you set for each fields), so you cannot create a contact without filling a mandatory field. An error message will be display for each mandatory field that are not filled when saving. Per default, no contact fields are mandatory.
Once contact is created, you will land on his contact sheet.
From a contact sheet, you can edit a contact by clicking on "Edit". All contact fields can be displayed by clicking on "Details".
Another option is available to quickly create a contact. From the "Contacts" section, click on "Quick Add" next to "New".
A pop up will display with the different contact fields.
Some contact fields may not be displayed when clicking on "Quick add". This can be set up directly within the edition of contact fields. Enable "Visible on short forms" to see it display with the quick add.
