The visitor session and traffic source tracking feature in Webmecanik Automation allows you to analyze where your contacts come from, whether through digital channels or offline activities (imports, CRM). Here is how to leverage this data across your software.
π Dashboard Analytics
The tracking bundle enriches your dashboard with dedicated analytics widgets.
- When adding a widget, click the dropdown menu to access new acquisition-specific views.
- You can select widgets such as Website Analytics (internal), Contact acquisition by channel, or Online vs offline acquisition.
- Views for acquisition trends and source breakdowns (online or offline) are also available.
- The website analytics widget displays key metrics like total visits, unique visitors, identified contacts, bounce rate, and page views.
- This same dashboard lets you visualize your top traffic sources, including search engines, social networks, and engagement driven by AI assistants.
π Distinguishing Online and Offline Sources
The system intelligently separates digital and physical acquisition sources to give you a clear overview of your performance.
- Your dashboard features charts (trend lines and pie charts) directly comparing Online (Web) and Offline acquisition.
- Online sources include organic search, emails, social networks, and AI assistants.
- Offline sources allow you to track the impact of external interactions: API creations, CRM syncs, manual entries, or file imports.
π Traffic Sources in the Contact Record
Source information is detailed individually on each contact profile to help you analyze a specific prospect's journey.
- On the right side of each contact record, a Traffic Sources box summarizes their acquisition history.
- This section displays the original source (Original source) that created the contact in your database, such as an offline source from your CRM.
- You can also view the latest known source (Latest source) that generated an interaction, along with the exact timestamp.
π― Segmenting by Traffic Source
Your acquisition data can be used to build dynamic lists using the segmentation engine.
- New behavioral criteria are available in the filters dropdown when creating a segment.
- You can target contacts based on their Original source, Latest source, or Conversion source.
- You can also group contacts who visited any URL coming from a specific source to refine your targeting.
π Extracting Data via Reports
To dive deeper into your analytics or export your acquisition data, the Reports module includes a data source specifically designed for this feature.
- When creating a New report, configuring the data source is the essential first step.
- Click the Data source dropdown to choose the foundation of your analysis.
- Scroll down to the Analytics category and select Sources of contacts.
- You can then customize your columns (date, source, associated campaign, etc.) to generate and export custom acquisition reports.
