The sales margin is an indispensable tool for salespeople. It enables you to fine-tune your dedicated budget and gives you a clear idea of the profitability of your business.
How do I add a margin to my opportunity?
- Go to your Pipeline: https://pipeline.webmecanik.com/opportunities
- Create or modify an Opportunity.
- Next to the Amount field, you'll find the Sales Margin (€) number field.
- Enter the value of your margin for this opportunity.
- Click on Update.
How do I view sales margin trends?
Graphical view
Go to the Statistics tab in your CRM. You'll find 3 curves on the Sales Margin graph:
- Margin evolution on ongoing opportunities.
- Margin on opportunities won.
- Margin on lost opportunities.
Various filters are available to refine the statistics.
- Time period: 3 months / 6 months / 12 months / customizable
- Company: you can search for the company of your choice. By default, the last 10 companies are suggested.
- Opportunity status: open / won / lost
- Owner
⚠️As the temporality dimension is central to the graph, only opportunities with an end date will be taken into account.
Table view
In the top left-hand corner of your Sales Margin Tracker, you'll also find a table view. All this data can be exported as a CSV file using the Export button at the top right of your table.
