How do I install the anti-bot filter for clicks in emails when redirecting a link?
Before implementing this, you must create a landing page dedicated to redirecting your links in order to create a waiting area between the click and the redirection. Bots do not wait after a click, which is what allows them to be detected.
- Go to your Landing Page tab
- Create a new page by clicking on New.
- For your content, simply inform your contacts that they are being redirected. You can add a redirect link to another page in case the redirect doesn't work.
- On this page, you can add the {redirect_url} variable, which will allow your contacts to return to the original link in the event that they get stuck on the page.
- Once you've created your page, click Save and Close.
- Go to your Configuration, Email settings tab.
- Select your redirection page.
- Click on Save & Close.
- Your contacts are now verified and redirected when they click on your emails! 🚀
The filter automatically added to your emails.
From now on, when a contact clicks in your email, a check is performed to determine whether the click came from a robot, used by your contact (security software, bot etc.).
