When sending emails within an automated campaign, you can choose between two types of emails to send:
- transactional emails,
- marketing emails.
Transactional emails concern everything from invoices to confirmation emails.
Whereas marketing emails are your nurturing emails, newsletters, reminders, etc.
Transactional emails
In Webmecanik, transactional emails can be sent several times to a contact, whether in the same campaign or in another. If you have monthly invoices to send, you can use the same email with the corresponding monthly amount for each contact.
Please note that transactional emails are not subject to the "Do not contact" tag.
It is therefore essential that a contact who has unsubscribed from your emails does not receive a marketing email, marked as "transactional" in the tool.
Marketing emails
They can only be sent once to a contact. The system features automatic "retries" in case the email is not correctly received on the receiving server.
Think of a campaign's marketing email as a segment email.
Example:
- A contact has already received "mail 1" in campaign 1.
- This contact has just entered campaign 2 and needs to receive "email 1". If this email is in marketing type, it will not be sent to this contact because it has already been received.
However, there is an option to send the same marketing message several times to a contact (highly inadvisable), which will still be subject to the Do Not Contact tag in the contact record.
