Why are there more contacts in my segment ?

A dynamic segment (segment with filters) will fill up automatically with contacts.

However it can happens sometimes that they are more contacts that you would think.

The badge in the segment list represents the number of total contacts within the segment.

Click on it to display contacts. At the bottom of the page, the number of contacts is displayed also.

Sometimes this number can be smaller than the badge.

How is it possible ?

It means there are anonymous contacts that respect filter conditions within the segment.

Click on the anonymous logo to display anonymous contacts.

Scroll to the bottom to see how many anonymous contacts there are.

So the badge represents the total of contacts (identified and anonymous).

To remove anonymous contacts, you need add another filter on the segment which is : email not empty.
