When importing your contact lists, some contacts may already be unsubscribed or opted out of receiving your communications. It is essential to import them into your database with the Do not contact status to ensure no emails are sent to them by mistake.
π Step 1: Prepare Your CSV File
Before importing your data, add a dedicated column to your CSV file.
Column Structure
- Column name: e.g.,
Do not contactorNe pas contacter. - Accepted values: enter
1oryesfor contacts to exclude. - Active contacts: leave the cell blank or enter
0(orno).
π₯ Step 2: Start the Import in Webmecanik Automation
- Go to the Contacts menu.
- Click the gear icon, then select Import.
- Select your CSV file and the delimiter used (comma or semicolon).
- Upload the file to proceed to field mapping.
π Step 3: Map the Exclusion Column
During the field mapping step:
- Locate the row corresponding to your column (e.g., Do not contact).
- Match it with the system property field Do not contact (or Ne pas contacter).
- Follow the exact same process if you want to import contacts as Do not track.
- Validate the import π
π« Result in Your Database
Imported contacts will now display the Do not contact or Do not track status. They are properly stored in your Webmecanik Automation database, but the platform automatically blocks all outgoing communications and tracking for them π§.
