How does the social monitoring work ?

Requirements: set the Twitter plugin.

Before setting up Twitter social monitoring on Automation, you need to connect your Twitter account to Webmecanik. For that, here is How to set up the Twitter plugin ?

Once the plugin is configured correctly, you will be able to follow users mentioning you with "@" or mentioning specific hashtags.

• Go on the "Channel" section and click on "Social Monitoring".

• Click on "New" to start.
• Choose a name (eventually a description) and choose between the 2 monitoring methods.

With the "Twitter Mention" you will be able to identify Twitter users mentioning you with the "@". If you choose this method, you will have to fill this field below with your Twitter account.

With the "Twitter Hashtag" you will be able to identify Twitter users mentioning a specific hashtag that you have chosen in this field below.

After setting this, you will be able to send contacts directly in a segment.

For example, when sending contacts to a segment you could start a new campaign that sends a tweet as soon as a contact mentions you or mentions a specific hashtag.
