For security matters, we recommend you to use our native 2FA feature offered by Webmecanik.
Enable Two Factors Authentication feature
Note: this action is only possible for Webmecanik Portail administrators.
In your Webmecanik Portal, company settings, Users tab, you can enable Two Factors Authentication feature for all your company's users:
From there, on next login, your users will have to setup the 2FA to continue using Webmecanik services.
Setup the Two Factors Authentication
On your first login attempt after enabling the feature on the company level, you will land on a configuration page explaining you how to setup your Two Factors Authentication.
- You have to options: use Google Authenticator app or FreeOTP alternative (Open Source project). In both cases, those are free applications.
- In your selected app, scan the displayed QR code.

Fill the Webmecanik form with the one time code given by your application. Be careful, the code expires quickly.

Give a name to your device.
Your Two Factors Authentication is now all set! You can now browse your Webmecanik applications!
Login Webmecanik
For every new login attempt, Webmecanik will ask you a unique temporary code provided by your Google Authenticator or FreeOTP app.
Device lost? Authentication issue?
Webmecanik Administrators have ability to reset Two Factors Authentication user configuration.
Browse the users list page, click the lock icon at the end of the user row to reset the workflow. All the user sessions will be closed and the user will have to re-setup the Two Factors Authentication on next login attempt.
