With Webmecanik Automation, you can use what are known as stages. Stages enable you to define the life cycle of a contact. For example, you can define your stages as cold prospect, warm prospect, customer, etc.
The principle behind stages is that once a contact has reached a certain stage, it cannot return to the previous stage.
How do I create stages?
- Connect to your Webmecanik Automation instance and go on Stages section.
- Click on New and start creating your stages.
- Give a name to the stage (Example: "Cold prospect").
- You will see a Weight field. This allow to add an order to stages. As said previously, contacts cannot go back to a lower stage. Start by 1 then 2, 3 etc.
How do I add contacts to the various Stages?
Through campaigns
You can move your contacts from stage to stage using campaigns.
- In the campaign builder, add action Change contact's stage.
- Then choose the stage.
So if a contact is at a certain stage, he could not go back to a lower stage. Action won't be triggered for them.
In segments
You can segment your database using the Stage filter.
How do I use the Stage Manager?
- Go to the Plugins tab
- Click on Stage Manager
- Activate the plugin and click on Save and Close
- Go to the Manage Actions tab
-
Click on New
-
On this interface, define the Name of the action, the Stage to which the contacts will go and the action that will trigger this change.
Contact created: the action will be triggered when the contact is created.
Contact field changed: select a field and a field value, and the change will apply to all contacts with this field value.
Points changed to value higher: number of points required to change stage. -
Once you've defined your parameters, you can activate them retroactively using the Trigger option for the corresponding contacts existing at the time of saving.
-
Your contacts are ready to be sent to the stages! 🚀
How can I see my conversion tunnel?
Stage Manager
The conversion tunnel is available in your Manage Stage tab.
Please note that the information displayed in the graph corresponds to the number of contacts converted over the period indicated in the date range, and not to the current number of contacts in the stage.
Widget
On your dashboard, you can add the Contact progress in stages widget to consult the graph of your conversion tunnel.
Please take into consideration that the graph updates every 10 minutes, which can cause your contacts' data to be out of sync with the graph.
