Scoring action can be set up on different ways (through campaigns, through actions on forms) but it can also be set up as general rules for the instance.
It means contacts could gain points without getting in campaigns or gaining points with a form action.
To set up scoring actions:
- Click on "Points".
- Then click on "Manage actions".
- Click on "New" to create a new rule.
- The set up window will open.
Give a name to the rule and choose how many points you would like to set up.
"When a contact..." field allow to choose on what action the rule will be executed.
Few actions are available:
- Emails openend,
- Emails sent,
- Form submissions,
- Assets downloaded,
- URL visited,
- Landing page visited.
WARNING : By default general scoring rules apply only once for contacts. For example, if there is a rule set up on a submission forms (any forms), contacts that will submit a second form won't gain points a second time.
However, you can activate the repetition option to allow an action rule to be repeat by a contact. Just click the "Is repeatable" button in the edit panel of a point action.
