A pop-in is a marketing tool designed to engage your visitors, whether to inform them of something new or to collect data. Its configuration is handled entirely within Webmecanik Automation before being displayed on your website.
Here is the step-by-step guide to creating your pop-in:
1. Creating the Element
In the main menu of Webmecanik Automation, go to the "Pop-in" (or Focus Items) section.
Click the "New" button in the top right corner.
2. Initial Setup
Enter a Name for your pop-in (for internal organization).
Specify the URL of the webpage where you want it to appear.
Then, click the button to open the Builder (the visual constructor).
3. Customization in the Builder
As soon as it opens, a live preview of the specified webpage will be displayed in the background. This is where you will design your pop-in through five key steps:
Type (Goal): Define what your pop-in should do. You can choose to collect data (by linking a form), simply display a notification (informational message), or emphasize a link (to redirect the visitor to another page).
Behavior (Frequency): Determine the display rules. You can decide when the pop-in triggers (after a certain amount of time spent on the page, upon scrolling) and how often it appears (e.g., limiting the display to once a day per visitor).
Style and Position: Choose the visual layout that best fits your needs: a bar (at the top or bottom), a notification (discreetly on one side), or a modal (centered). Then, define its exact location on the screen.
Colors: Customize the background, text, and button colors so that the pop-in perfectly matches your website's branding.
Content: Enter the elements visible to the user. During this setup, the Content mode section allows you to choose between three distinct creation methods, tailored to your technical skill level and customization needs:
Basic: This is the simplest and fastest solution. You only need to fill in predefined fields (Title, Slogan, Font) and select your form. Webmecanik then automatically generates a clean, standard, and ready-to-use layout.
Editor: This mode activates a visual editor (WYSIWYG). It offers greater graphic freedom, allowing you to write your text content, modify the formatting (colors, sizes), and intuitively insert media elements or links without touching any code.
HTML: Intended for technical profiles or developers, this mode gives you absolute control over the design and ergonomics of the pop-in. You can directly inject your own HTML and CSS code to design a completely custom display that aligns perfectly with your brand guidelines.
4. Saving and Publishing
Once the design is complete, click "Save & Close" to exit the builder.
Make sure to toggle the status of your pop-in to "Published" (select "Yes") to activate it.
5. Website Integration
For the pop-in to actually appear on your site, one final action is required:
Copy the integration script provided by Webmecanik (usually visible on the pop-in's detail page).
Paste this code into the source code of your website (ideally just before the closing
</body>tag).
💡 Important Note: This script is automatic and dynamic. This means that once it is integrated into your website, you won't need to modify it again. Any subsequent changes you make to the design or behavior of the pop-in from Webmecanik Automation will be automatically updated and applied to your site.
