This article summarize all the technical configuration steps to add a client to your Agency account for Webemcanik Automation
All steps occurs in our multi-account portal myWebmecanik
ADD THE CLIENT
- Go on your dashboard
- Click on “clients” in the lateral menu
3.On this page you will find your clients list (the first one is your own agency)
4.Click on the “+” button on the top right to add a client
5.Fill the requested information to create your client :
- First his company :
2.Then its main contact :
Click on Next
DEPLOY THE AUTOMATION INSTANCE
- You land on the instance creation page after clicking the +in the red box :
Fill the 4 field :
Define the base url for your client Webmecanik Automation instance, for example if you enter myautomationinstance url will be myautomationinstance.automation.webmecanik.com
This url is a mandatory technical step, you will not use it after the creation is complete.
The size of the sub-domain is limited to 11 characters
(avoir space and special characters)
Custom domain :
Here enter the custom sub-domain of the tracked site (for example : automation.mysite.com). This will be the url used to access the Webmecanik Automation instance, you and your client can put this url in favorite to access the instance after configuration is complete.
Default email address :
Choose the default email address use to send email form the instance (for example : email@example.com)
The domain name use with this address must be configurable (DNS and FTP access) because you will have to configure it to be able to use for email rooting.
You can choose where your data are host in total transparency
Click on "Deploy instance" to validate. The deployment take several minutes to be done. Don't leave the page during validation.
Once the instance is deployed you will be redirect on your dashboard where you can see the new Automation instance
Use the redirection link (square icen) to go in the instance without having to reconnect.
User : the instance is deployed with the main user create at the same time as your client company and yourself as the agency user.
You can now configure email sending and custom sub-domain.
1. Open the "Product" menu in the left panel and selection Automation
2. On this page you will find the list of all instances you can access
User the filter is needed on top of each column to find the instance you want to configure
3. Once you find the instance click on the gear at the end of the line.
4. You land on the Automation instance configuration
On this page you have to validate your sub-domain
5. Once you validate for the first time the DNS willl show up
You have to make the CNAME of your sub-domain point toward this address
6. Once the CNAME is setup you have to wait the SSL certificate deployment (an error message prevent you to validate until it's done, try again one hour later)
Let the process finish and one it's validated the page will show the instance tracking script
We recommand to use a cookie manager to put the script on your website, if you don't already use one, follow this guide to install tartaucitron.js a free, open-source, GDPR compatible cookie manager.
Finally, the last step is the email configuration
EMAIL DOMAIN CONFIGURATION
Stay on the same page as the sub-domain configuration but go on the "Email configuration" tab
Note : If you do this operation just after the deployment of the instance, sometimes the information will not show up on this page. You will have to wait few minutes and then reload the page to see the info
- Select the domain name you want to configure

TxT Entry : Authorize domain name
To record this DNS entry, create a txt type entry with Host and Value given here.
SPF entry : Deliverability Improvement
On the SPF like on the txt entry, create a txt type entry with the value given
Note : if you already got an SPF record, do not add another as it's not allowed. Edit the existing one by adding : include:spf.mailjet.com string to your record..
Entrée de type DKIM : Amélioration de la délivrabilité
DKIM entry : Deliverability Improvement
For the DKIM entry, we recommand you to create a type txt entry with Host as name and key as value. This allows you to record the exact info given. (the DKIM type entry often add unnecessary information that block validation)
Validation can take up to 48h. Once all is validated the check box near each entry will go green :
It's done ! Your client instance is now deployed and ready to use.
